Station of Hope
A Station of Hope is a house of worship that has made a conscious decision to be a welcoming place for Returning Citizens (men and women returning from incarceration) and their families.
Guidelines for becoming a Station of Hope:
* A culture and willingness to welcome formerly incarcerated into your House of Worship
* Volunteers willing to coach/mentor family members of someone incarcerated
* Pastors commitment to share on the topic of incarceration
* At least one mentor/coach per Station of Hope (more are desirable)
* At least one Station of Hope Coordinator (can be the same person as above)
* Mentor/coaches attend training and follow protocol
* Station of Hope coordinators attend sharing sessions to learn from others
* Host a HAT program meeting once a year (about 20-30 people)
* Participate in the Family Reunion gathering of all Returning Citizens (once a year)
